It has been announced that £95 million has been designated by the U.K. government to put the spring back in our high street’s step.

Recently it has been announced that the high street has been dying out. More and more people are shopping online in the comfort of their own home rather than having a stroll down their local high street. There are so many reasons for this, one being that it is more convenient for our ever-growing busy lives. But the government wants to do something about this.

Towns and cities were made to bid for the money they would receive. Starting with a whopping £21.1 million being given to the Midlands to revamp their streets. This will mean that buildings which are not being used anymore will be turned into new shops, houses and community centres. This is such a great thing for building a community.

With sadly a figure being announced that 16 shops a day close as shops move online, this new regeneration of the high street will give people hope in their towns once again.

This is such an important cause to make our high street great again so we would love to hear your thoughts. Please go to our Twitter account at @TheOutsourceWay and let us know in the comments on our post.
