That Monday morning feeling is quite the opposite from the ecstatic and excited Friday afternoon feeling. Our first piece of advice to you would be to not live for the weekends, but we understand too well that this can be very tricky.
Some tips from us to you for getting through the Monday blues…
1. Plan ahead on the Sunday
Use the Sunday evening to take half an hour to plan your Monday and what you need to when you first get into work. This will help you to feel more organised and motivated through out the day to check off your tasks.
2. Get a good night sleep
The last thing you want is to be up late on the Sunday night and be tired all of Monday. This will only add stress to your day, so resist that late-night film and get into bed and read a book.
3. Treat yourself
Take some treats into work for your food. Buy some nice snacks to have through out your day or have an extra special lunch which it out of the ordinary from the rest of the week.
Take breaks through out the day to clear your mind, even if these are just a couple of minutes. Go outside have some fresh air or make a drink to keep you going. Make sure you use your lunch time as a break and don’t work through it if you do not need to.
5. Make some evening plans
Making plans for after work on Monday will give you something to look forward to at the end of the day and keep you focused on getting your jobs done so you can leave and have a good time in the evening.
